AZ Law & Consulting, PLLC helps families in conflict with their local school district - whether it is by communicating with the district to reach an amicable resolution, seeking appropriate special education services or defending student rights in disciplinary matters.

We are unique

in that we advocate for children’s rights not only by representing individual families but also by offering consulting services to public and private educational institutions dedicated to servicing students with general and special needs. 

By helping these institutions understand their legal obligations and develop policies for compliance, we equip them to more effectively serve their students and avoid costly litigation.

Special Education Advocacy

Students with disabilities are legally entitled to a free appropriate public education from their local school district that meets their individualized needs. If your child has special education needs or you suspect they have a disability which is impacting their progress at school, we can provide support and assist with all of your legal needs.

Organizational Development Consultancy

Educational institutions – whether public or private – have legal obligations to students and their parents. We assist senior leaders in implementing change interventions to improve organization-wide performance in order to meet these obligations.

Participants will learn about all State assessment options, what the NYSAA test entails, the eligibility and decision-making process, graduation/student exit options and how it will affect a student's post-secondary planning.
